Received a request from a customer this week who wanted a pirate boy to go with one of my mermaid illustration for her son’s birthday invitation. Whipped this up quickly for her.

To start off in the new year, I have come out with a new series of illustrations called the happy kids. The first two I have made is happy school boy and happy school girl. The style is using more fresh and fun color and instead of my usual styling, I am experimenting with gradient shading.

Watch this space as there will be more happy kids available soon.

Recently, I read that they are going to remake the 80′s popular movie Karate Kid. Will it be a flop I wonder? Anyhow, that got me drawing some cartoon martial arts characters:- A karate Kid and Kungfu girl.
