I have always love beach vacation since I practically grew up by the beach. So you can imagine how excited I was when our company ‘ve decided to make Bali as our annual vacation destination.

One of the great perks working for my company is that we get to go to such holidays for free or partially subsidized. After some research, we managed to get rather cheap AirAsia Free & Easy deals to Bali. It was around RM800++ per person. Not bad at all as this deal includes 3 night accommodation in 5 star hotel Discovery Kartika Plaza and return air trip.

The Journey

Despite that our flight was delayed for 1++ hrs, we managed to keep ourself occupied by goofing around/taking pics in KLIA. I must say I am a good traveller because I can sleep anywhere I go, once I got into the plane, I dozed off immediately.. By the time I woke up, we were reaching Bali. As you can see, bali looks good from the plane..:-)

The Hotel - Discovery Kartika Plaza hotel

This is me in front of the Kartika Plaza Hotel. The hotel is about 15 mins away from the airport and it is located in Kuta area. The location for the hotel is great as there is a shopping mall beside it and several good food places within walking distance.

We stayed in the Garden Terrace room, which have decent view of the pool. You can just walk out to the pool area via the terrace patio.. and the private beach is just few steps away. The hotel reminds me of Rasa Sayang hotel back in Penang, with the touch of malay/bali decor..(lots of dark wood and greeneries). This place looks like the ultimate destination for R&R or honeymoon.
